With Prop-Surfaces, I explore the physical awareness of my immediate environment; between 2015 and 2019, I only photographed from within my apartment or a 50 meter perimeter of wherever I was living. While exploring architectural structures as protagonists through my moving image and sound works within the same exhibition, Prop-Surfaces became visual markers, melting, morphing, and making permeable these structures. In this exhibition, the still images served as visual anchors in the theatrical situation that I was setting up, as well as surfaces through or under which things were seen.
